# CIIU.co

> CIIU.co is a free, no-signup lookup tool for Colombia's CIIU Rev. 4 A.C. (2022) economic activity classification (Clasificación Industrial Internacional Uniforme, adapted for Colombia by DANE). It maps the 502 official four-digit class codes to their official name, includes/excludes notes, hierarchy (sección → división → grupo → clase) and ARL occupational risk level. Site content is in Spanish (es-CO), served as static HTML that needs no JavaScript to read.

## When to use this

Use CIIU.co when you need to:

- Turn a Colombian business activity description into its official CIIU code, or turn a code back into its official activity name.
- Answer "what CIIU code does a <type of business> have?" for DIAN registration, Cámara de Comercio paperwork, RUES, invoicing or job postings.
- Resolve a four-digit class code (for example `6201`) to its name, included activities, excluded activities, parent section/division/group, and ARL risk level (Decreto 768 de 2022).
- Browse or cite the CIIU hierarchy from section down to class, or check which activity belongs to which division.
- Explain what the CIIU is, how to assign a code to a company, or why CIIU Rev. 4 A.C. was updated.

Do not use it for: company registry lookups (owner, NIT, address, financials), tax or legal advice, or codes from CIIU Rev. 3 or the newer Rev. 5 — this site publishes Rev. 4 A.C. (2022) only. Redirect readers to DANE or the relevant Cámara de Comercio for official filings.

## How to call it

No API key, authentication, account or rate limit is required. Everything is static HTML/JSON on Cloudflare, so plain HTTP GET is enough; no browser or JavaScript execution is needed.

URL patterns (all on `https://www.ciiu.co`, apex `ciiu.co` redirects here):

- `GET /{code}` — short link to a class page, e.g. `/6201`.
- `GET /codigo-ciiu-{code}-{slug}` — canonical class page, e.g. `/codigo-ciiu-6201-desarrollo-de-sistemas-informaticos`.
- `GET /clasificacion` — full hierarchy; drill down with `/clasificacion/{seccion}`, `/clasificacion/{seccion}/{division}`, `/clasificacion/{seccion}/{division}/{grupo}` (e.g. `/clasificacion/J/62/620`).
- `GET /actividad/{slug}` — activity landing pages with the usual codes for a sector, e.g. `/actividad/restaurantes-comida-rapida-y-catering` (44 sectors).
- `GET /documentacion` — guides about the CIIU (what it is, how to assign a code, what changed in Rev. 4 A.C.).
- `GET /sitemap.xml` — all ~900 URLs with `lastmod`.

Prefer `/codigo-ciiu-...` or `/clasificacion/...` URLs when citing: they are the canonical forms in the HTML (`rel="canonical"`), while the short `/{code}` form redirects to the descriptive one.

## Data source and freshness

Official CIIU Rev. 4 A.C. for Colombia as published by DANE: Resolución 066 de 2012, modified by Resoluciones 636 de 2012, 0549 de 2020, 1505 de 2021 and 2306 de 2022. ARL risk levels follow Decreto 768 de 2022. Data is rebuilt when DANE publishes a modification, so every page reflects the same version.
